Safety Management in Public Building Construction: A Case Study of Pokhara Valley

Background: Construction site safety is a major issue in the construction industry all around world. In developing country like Nepal, number of industries growing haphazardly at high rate but they are not being able to cope with factors associated safety. Objective: The main objective study explore status management public building projects and suggest measures for improvement. Methodology: To achieve study, data were collected from Engineers personnel through questionnaire survey. Data analyzed descriptively by IBM SPSS presented tables diagrams. Conclusion: identified issues sites lack regular inspection, use personal protective equipment (PPE), conducting training, proper policy plan including an adequate budget management. Increased worker awareness introducing safe working practices training induction programs vital reducing outcome will be helpful while formulating project-based policy.
